Yes..he should start preparing for DTM from now only. There is going to be very less musical chairs after this season.
Maybe he can try next year, provided he does well in DTM, since there are quite a few contracts ending in 2012.

Nick... honestly... take BMW up on their offer... Go drive in DTM. You were more than lucky to stay in F1 this long. Go to BMW, it will be like going back to your old family, make your bucks and enjoy your racing. Stop wasting your time with thoughts of F1!

At first I was afraid
I was Petrovied
Kept thinkin' I could never drive
without sponsors by my side
But then I spent so many nights
Thinkin' how Bullyer did me wrong
And I grew strong

Oh I
I will survive
Oh as long as I know how to develop a car
I know I'll stay alive

nick is better than most of the back half of the field and even better than one or two in the top half. the trouble is that he wants to be paid to drive, whilst the less able drivers are paying to drive. yes, he should definetly get a chance in at least a mid field team, even a merc!

One man's opinion. Poor Nick HIDEfeld is one of those people who enter a room and not one person notices... He should either change his image from the looks of a man who pushes a supermarket cart looking for re-cyclables. Take on the persona of a seriously motivated, intelligent driver OR go whole HOG and get more blue stencils and show up on a Harley.(PS. Real men don't like tats... Klitchkos' Fury. Haye. et al - Passe' big money now in getting rid of the things)
