Pedro de la Rosa insists that F1 remains the only category of interest to him, even if he is not racing regularly.

Personally I always felt Klien was very underrated considering he stacked up well against DC. If you consider that Liuzzi and Senna, both drivers outperformed by Klien are still in F1 it does seem a bit unfair. With regards to Pedro I can only assume that he still feels there will be further racing for him somewhere down the line or he probably would look at other series.

i totally agree, klien was far to young to be thrown out and forgotten. qualified 7th in his final race in 06 before last seasons one off if i remember right.

it might happen to one of the STR lads if they arent careful.

Hats off to him if he's still around. F1 is a very efficient business and if you're proving your value you'll be replaced very quickly. If anything Pedro has the best gig of anyone in the pitlane (regardless of age, but especially for someone his age). He's a test driver for a top level team, probably taking a smooth 250K$ per year (chump change for McLs budget) and he has no pressure in delivering points. I would love to be in Pedro's shoes right now.

sometimes i wonder if pedro still has some kind of hold over mclaren after spygate, or maybe they are rewarding him for his input. as it stands, there are far more worthy drivers on the market , for the job.

is it possible that it is his "testing" that is actually holding mclaren back?
