F1 » Now it's Petrov whose Renault seat is in danger...

Having already cast doubt upon Robert Kubica's future at the team, Lotus Renault GP managing director Eric Boullier has now hinted that Vitaly Petrov's seat may not be quite as secure as he believes, either...

Maybe the FIA needs to put into place a rule that requires all team managers to relinquish all ties to drivers... this BS where a manager of a team is also a manager of a driver is absolute foolishness and does nothing to promote the sport and actually damages the credibility of F1.

Maybe its a sign they (Renault) want to pull out of F1 altogether....They have been in and out of F1 more times than I can remember. The sad issue is the loss of Kubica (Robert), he was delivering the goods in a 'sport' seriously lacking character.

I have to agree with poster John, 'a sport seriously
lacking in character' ...Very good description.
Petrov really believes that he has a valet contract
with Renault. Petrov short memory, I was told Nick
had a contract 4 weeks ago. Best you remember its
all about money. That truck full of Russian gold will deal you a winning hand every time. The F1 money
junkies can't exist without it...

John, Renault have pulled out of F1 as a team, I cannot understand why it's still called Renault, the new owners are Genii Capital.
Genii Capital hired Petrove because of his Russian sponsors (money) and the potential they then saw in the Russian market but nowadays they found out that sponsorship (money) and business potential is bigger in Brazil.

Boullier is giving the team a bad name. Renault is best to disassociate itself with this joke of a team completely if all its good for is placing Boullier's own drivers that he manages riding off the back of the name Renault.

@107SS2009

The team is called Renault, simply so they can hang onto the 'Bernie' money, if they change name (chassis name) they start from zero again, unless everyone agrees to the change, which they usually don't because the other teams would share in money that's not allocated to the 'new' team.
