Lewis Hamilton heads a shortened first practice in Singapore, with running quite severely curtained due to problems with the track.

massa was lucky. his car hit the kerbing which had a securing fastener sticking up about 3-4 inches. he had to go into escape road. so it is possible that the spike went into the floor of his car, or caught his suspension.

Notice how close the green Lotus team are to the back of the pack compared to HRT & Virgin, bearing in mind Kovy never got to post a 'hot' lap time as his brakes were on fire!!

Lewis fastest but Mclaren keep making elementary mistakes in the pits.
Not knowing where tyres are, forgetting to secure tyres, mixing up tyres, day dreaming so not realising the car is coming into the pits, underfueling. Totally loosing track of race strategies, pitting cars at daft times and therefore ruining their drivers races. This seems to all point to a case of collective dyslexia in the pit team.

They need some professional help.

Lulu did say yesterday that everybody in the team needs to be fresh and sharp but from the look of it what I was told yesterday was spot on, mainly that their new energy drink doesn't gives one wings but just air, may even be hot air.
