Despite the belief that it would never happen, Kimi Raikkonen could indeed be on his way to Williams for next season.

Another view of the 'Raikkonen to Williams' episode, consider Adam Parr's role. Last year Eric Boullier threw Kimis name into the air, this year Parr goes a step further and gives the Kimi the tour. Meanwhile Sutil denies contact, despite (allegedly) having 'measurements' taken! The 'rumblings' from Germany suggest that Parr is using Raikkonens CV to raise the cost of the seat to Sutil's backers. All will be revealed!

1 can only hope. But who's gonna pay Kimi's paycheck. As we know it, his service ain't cheap. But I do hope he comes back and make it more interesting..

Kimi is hardly a good development driver, so whilst he might be a good replacement for Maldonado I think Williams need to keep Barichello first and foremost.

And I would also have doubts over Raikkonen's commitment - half a dozen poor/non finishes and he would probably lose interest (again).

As Enzo Ferrari once remarked "Never warm up cold soup".

See, you guys didn't believe it a few days ago, now it appears more likely. Sometimes Crashs's rumour mill stumbles upon the truth. Still would like to see him in a Force India. The full potential of those cars remain a mystery to me.

and Barrichello is such a good development driver? Mmmm - that Williams must be a real dog! Rubens is well past his sell-by date. Come back Kimi, all is forgiven - and let's have 6 world champions in F1 next year.

awalker. agreed. barro is NOT a development driver. when with ferrari, he drove what schumi helped to develope. with brawn, he did no development either and with williams he has helped them go backwards!

kimi might not be good at developing either, but he would pedal the williams to better results!

Whether it will be good for Williams or not remains to be seen. But one thing is guaranteed - it will be good for the viewers! Ferrari made a massive mistake in backing Massa in 2008 at the advice of Schumacher despite Raikkonen being the fastest driver that season with 10 fastest laps. They then designed the dog that was the F60 to suit Massa's driving style. No wonder Raikkonen's motivation started to wane - what's a guy gotta do to get the backing of his team? Winning them the world championship not enough nowadays?
