F1 » Massa: Hamilton incapable of using his brain

So incensed was Ferrari's Felipe Massa following his collision with Lewis Hamilton in today's Singapore Grand Prix that he accosted his McLaren-Mercedes rival post-race and accused him of being unable to 'use his mind'

Massa if you don't want people to overtake you then driver faster. Alonso in the same situation When in a fight like this is far better at asessing the situation and knows when to let the competitor past, as we have seen with Webber in Spa and hear today. You are just not a top flight driver.

As the commentry team said, the move was more clumsy than anything else. But Massa is one of several drivers who has come into contact with Lewis this year, who has found his race compromised just by racing the McLaren. And the issues wont go away as long as McLaren constantly gloss over the 'incidents' involving Hamilton. They realy need to Manage their driver better.

massa was totally right to confront hamilton he was in a strong place and hamilton wrecked his race. i watched it again in slow motion and hamilton clearly turned into the back of massa what was that all about?! i think if hamilton keeps this up he is going to have a really hard time racing with these guys because without the respect and trust of his competitors there is going to be a lot more accidents/incedents.

Hmmmmm, in the race I watched, he used his brain better than you did once he came out of the pits for his drive through. I used to like Massa until he was beaten to the WDC by Lewis. Certainly tarnished his racing instinct, made even worse after his brave return from his head injury. Just hasn't been the same driver since. Now he's someone I believe happy to drive round and collect his paycheck for being Ferrari's definate no.2. Like a teenies Barachello really, but not able to win in the same car his team mate has.

Whether a driver is now average and always under pressure, it doesn't alter the fact that he should be entitled to defend his position and take a corner without having his tire chewed up.

Taken on its own it was a silly and unfortunate incident.
But take into account Hamiltons actions in qualy and in previous races it really does bring questions about his ability and mindset.

Massa has never been top rate. Yes, he has the right to be annoyed about today's race as it was Hamilton's fault, but for me he's still bitter about 2008. We know Alonso's much faster than Massa, and that Hamilton and Alonso were evenly matched for speed in the same car, so for me that strongly implies Massa isn't as quick as Hamilton.
