F1 » Massa: Hamilton incapable of using his brain

So incensed was Ferrari's Felipe Massa following his collision with Lewis Hamilton in today's Singapore Grand Prix that he accosted his McLaren-Mercedes rival post-race and accused him of being unable to 'use his mind'

I'm going to try an approach this another way for a change.

Lewis, we all have to admit, is a hard racer... and is what F1 needs. The problem is it seems now that every single race, he's in some sort of incident, 90% of the time of his own doing. He's lashing out at his team for not being competitive, but it's hard for the team to be competitive when Hamilton's throwing the car around on everybody. Something has to give in this case. Perhaps with the season now being a lost cause, Hamilton should just take it easy on the racing and focus on putting in lap after lap and figuring out how to improve on the technical side to help the team with developments for next season.

I've changed my mind on Massa. He's not that terrible of a driver but just really unlucky. He really does deserve much better and would really like to see him win once more.

@fatboy

when Webber and Alonso have been in this situation, Spa and here, no one crashes. I am not saying it was all Massa's fault, because it was not, but Massa was NOT in a strong position he had been overtakenby LH and would be overtaken by plenty other people, Ferrari were slow today. But Alonso knows when he is beat and avoids the collision. Massa does not have this ability, the red mist hits him and it was still there in the press area.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about Mr Massa . Lewis was attempting to overtake you and accidently caught his wing on your tyre . It wasn't on purpose and it wasn't dangerous - it was a racing incident ! Yes it was his fault and yes it spoilt your race to an extent (lets face it , you were never going to win) but thats racing end of argument .

marc. what you appear to be overlooking, in your criticism of a driver, is the fact that until the coming together, flip was AHEAD of lulu on the road. so he cannot be as washed up as you seem to imply. and after lulu taking him out, he lost a lot of time struggling around on a punctured rim. take this time, add the time lost with the actual pit stop, and you will find that he would have been up with ferdi. he isnt slow, but he has had a lot of bad luck this year, mainly being on the piece of road that lulu thinks is his alone!

I believe Massa was right confronting Hamilton about it after Hamilton cost Massa places in the race. As for Hamilton's 'Don't touch me man' that implies that he thinks he is above everyone else and therefore makes him an arrogant and childish man!

Lulu can't use what he does not have Flip.

The "epic one" is simply brainless, talented when all goes his way but completely stupid. His career continues it's downward spiral and his options are simple, grow up and wise up or just accept that he does not have the mental capacity to deal with F1. He is fast becoming an embarrassment to his team and to Formula 1, I'm actually starting to feel sorry for his daft fans, they put so much faith in him yet all he does is let them down. You should have listened to us wise heads hamfans, we can spot the difference between hype and the real deal....

Richard if you think Massa would be up with Alonso by the end of the race you are very much mistaken. Lewis would have overtaken him and so would many others.

The problem for me is the fact that this wasnt half as bad as Schmacher/Perez but for the second time Schumacher only got a slapped wrist. I dont think Schumacher should have had a penalty! But neither should Lewis. They were both 'a racing incident'.

Lewis has such a big ego and thinks everything should be easy and given to him. I'd be frustrated if I were Lewis but damn, he needs to chill, stop blaming everyone else for his mistakes, and let his driving do the talking.
