David Coulthard says the spat between Felipe Massa and Lewis Hamilton in Singapore has been overblown

Very well put D.C.

When you look at the stability Button has on the other side with his managment set up and the people surrounding him you can perhaps see why there is a difference in mind set when they both go racing. Lewis needs to ditch his managment company and employ people who will provide him with the backup and platform to do his bread and butter work. Racing.

I have to agree with DC completely and one thing that would help Lewis is not to surround himself with so much showy bling, and ditch the attention seeking girlfriend and find someone more down to earth, someone who might tell him a few home truths.

Massa to Hamilton post-race: "That's a very good way to win many World Championships" and then he gives him a sarcastic thumbs up.
How would Felipe know how to win championships? Even if he did win in 2008... Oh, wait a minute.

It also gets blown out of all proportion due to some 'sensationalist' reporting, Anyone who saw the 'main event' may have forgot about it already in the context of the race, where as to the millions who didnt see it, a headline of 'Massa assults Hamilton in press pen' only serves the purpose of catching the attention. The BBC didnt need to show it, but the oppertunity to keep a 'few eyeballs' fixed to the coverage or a few extra views on iPlayer was too much of an oppertunity to be missed. And to be honest my (almost) three year old has more aggresion against his sister than 'The Massa Hamilton Spat'.

blzbub. agreed. the incident was just flip walking past lulu, tapping him on the shoulder and saying well done. i am sure we have all done something similar to others in the past. i didnt hear lulus response, so dont know if it was insulting or not. we will have to wait for their next meeting!

Massa is a boy in a world of grown up men. He should be brushed aside without a comment, which is how Alonso dealt with him a couple of years back when he started ranting post race about some minor incident..I can't remember exactly , maybe Monza?
Hamilton should not let it upset him. He must get thick-skinned and learn to laugh in the face of this sort of infantile taunting.

"Maybe all the cars on the grid could run with a sticker on the rear wing saying "Don't touch me Lulu!"

This would be the best inside joke ever. Imagine the look on LH's face if he saw this on everyone's car... LOL

Back on topic: I would have to agree DC on this occasion. Hopefully LH can pull it together because he's definitely a good driver, but right now he seems to be a bit angry and bitter and it's getting the better of him. And criticizing the team?... not cool.
