F1 » Vettel: I just wasn't 100 percent awake!

Sebastian Vettel: It wasn't a big mistake this morning, but in that moment I wasn't 100 percent awake and mistakes around here can be quite costly. I went off and tried to slow the car down, but I hit the wall slightly. It wasn't a big impact, but it did some damage to the car, so it wasn't perfect.

I once maligned him and you (as his biggest fan on this thread), I now hang my head look to the ground and admit those who lauded Seb during the early part of last season knew how to pick talent. It is a bitter and hard pill to swallow for an Aussie one eyed Webber fan, and I don't seem to have the back up of DTS or Commodore these days to comfort me.

@Googleplex, its ok buddy, I understand!:) Ever since his debut at Indy I had a gut feeling that he was going to be a force to be reckoned with and it turns out I was right. I wish I could pick stocks like that! :) Be well and GO VETTEL!

googolplex. dont forget that i was often accused of talking up seb as well! even before eddie, back in the bmw,str days. cream always rises to the top!

interesting that in fp 2 when teams were running full loads and without drs, both bulls were faster than anyone else, by 1.5 secs!

interesting also is the report that pole time for formula nipponcars was faster than the tailenders in fp1 !

Hey boys I am still around.

Googs just let me get this weekend and the
Gold Coast 600 out of the way and I will be
back on the board.

Ed you should be receiving this weekend live on ESPN/SPEED. We have Daryl Waltrip/Leigh Diffey/Alan Joyce and others downhere to do commentary. Waltrip had 3 hot laps around Bathurst to-day and is in awe.

Regards to you all
