For cleaner planet, or carbon footprint.
Isn it better USA daytime than ASIA under artificial lights?
This only if major nations are serious about global warming.

How much electricity or car does a family have to use to equal the co2 used for a formula 1 night race

Why not have it at Indy again? Its centrally located for the most number of spectators. The facilities are THERE and waiting. All the logistics are in place. Its time to put egos and politics aside and give the American fans what they want. A race again at the most historic and well suited location in the USA. Indianapolis Speedway!

I thought there was always some rule saying a country was not allowed to host more than 1 race in a season? Don't understand how all of a sudden the USA are able to have 2 races.

Surely if any country should have 2 races it should be a European country as this where the biggest amount of fans are.

I know they use the European grand price to get around this sometimes like with Spain at the moment, and previously it was used for the Nurburgring.

Let's be honest, this is an opportunistic deal. With over 10 million people within an hour of the race, they're sure to make an absolute killing. The idea may suck, but the MONEY potentially involved cannot be ignored. It's just good business.

Well well well another street race, sorry do not like them. Why have a street race when outside they have Watkins Glen. Ho sorry not good enough for F1 but this is a US regulated track. We have Monaco which does not cost F1 It's all about money here, but new circuits are loosing money because F1 want $24 Million per year raising by 10% per annum.
Come on F1 there are circuit already to be used in USA Elkhart Lake 4+ Miles in length great circuit to watch or you could try the Great Daytona road course seen racing there and winning margin .004 after 2.45 hrs of racing.

I never understood why the Daytona road course was never an option. I have driven that track with the 2011 F1 cars in rFactor, and it is actually pretty sweet.

I think the drivers would love it, and the people are plentiful!
