So, Renault's French Team Manager wants him, but is of course not in the slightest bit swayed by the fact that he is also Grosjean's Manager, taking a cut of his wages ?

Conflict of Interests possibly ?

In most other fields he would be up on charges, sacked and prosecuted, yet in F1, nobody says a thing.

Renault are in a happy place with four drivers to choose between. Hard to imagine that they wouldn't want to race with a world champion next year, assuming Grosjean has enough money.
