F1 » Hamilton has 'great respect' for Massa, incident 'one of those things'

Lewis Hamilton: The contact with Felipe was just one of those things. I really didn't feel like I was at fault – it was a racing incident.

We are 2, I have great respect for Massa.Charlie whiting contradict his own decision from one race to the other, sometime I wonder about the guy.

Finally some sanity. The ludicrous view that, whenever something happens involving Hamilton, he is to blame, has clearly infected even the BBC commentators. A few times in the past I have thought that a collision was obviously the other driver's fault, and yet Hamilton got the penalty, so I admit that I was half expecting him to get another one today. AT LAST the stewards come up with the right decision.

And as for Massa, he has once again demonstrated in the clearest possible way that his rubbish season has been caused by his rubbish driving, and not some malicious bogeyman called Lewis. How many times do you have to drive over a massive lump and break your suspension before you realise it's not the optimum racing line?

Well now its quite obvious that Massa saw Hamilton and chose not to give way.He suffered the consequences, both on and off track.Fair enough. Now I believe Lewis is a much better F1 driver than Felipe but I accept that would not be his opinion.Or indeed the opinions of others. Each to his own! However comments made by Felipe after the race were chidish and petulant. We did see Hamilton make an attempt at reconciliation.Come on Felipe be a man and respricate. We would all think better of you for it

last season, hamilton and webber involved in a similar incident in singapore, a racing incident, this year in monaco, hamilton (behind massa at hairpin) penalised, today massa (ahead of hamilton) penalised, talk about moving goal posts!

Lewis's state of mind is probably down to many things, not just what happened this yr.. i think it can be traced all the way back to that Dave Ryan incident 2 yrs ago. It has to be said, so many rubbish things have happened to him since, especially the ludicrous situation last yr with the aussie burn-out and the politician who wanted to make a name for himself. Alas, Mclaren being this ultra PC team doesnt help either, he's always forced to make unneeded grovelling apologies. This sort of thing is gonna push dedication to breaking point but the experience will be beneficial in the long run, I believe he's still the fastest guy out there in terms of pure talent. Do some chill-out time in Mustique, come back and do the business next yr

Oh yeah definitely he's the fastest out there on pure talent, he's so fast that he's constantly racing Massa, he's so talented he sits 5th in the championship, he's so naturally gifted to the point that it took a gift from Glock to be able to beat Massa, he's just so good that he nearly gets lapped by Button in the same car and often over a second a lap slower even in clear air. This natural phenomenon is called... Yes you guessed it: Lewser Shamilton
