Fernando Alonso: It's nice to jump on the podium for India's debut in F1 and I'm pleased to have a new trophy to take home.

Patience is a very under-rated skill in F1 - it might not be very exciting, but it is something that has generally brought Alonso results.

Much as I was swearing at Alonso for not getting past Schumacher earlier, a bold lunge could have easily led to an accident - and being patient, losing a second or two and then using the DRS zone to make a safe, clean overtake ultimately cost him nothing and resulted in good podium.

This Ferrari is nowhere yet Alonso still manages to get half decent results. I would love to see Fernando and Seb in close to equal cars. My money would be on FA all the way !!!

I am looking at this picture and here are the best 3 drivers of this season.Vettel is driving smoothly every race and taking the maximum nearly every race. This year he outperformed his team-mate every race(excluding the German GP) contrary to last year.Button is e real team leader at McLaren at is the first of Hamilton's team-mates that is beating him and he is doing so in a smart way.Alonso had outperformed Massa again this year and even with a Ferrari not at the levels of last year car he has already scored 227 points after being able to win only one race(last year he won 5 of them and scored 252 points).Maybe he can score more than last year if he(or better say Ferrari) manages to make performances like here in India. This trio is great.

Clearly the best three drivers of the year.

Alonso must be getting fed up with Ferrari, he's delivering the max from that car though.

I'd give most improved driver this year to Schumacher...seems crazy saying that.
