How close were they to scoring points in this their attack year, Nowhere all the PR in the world does not make up for Zero points. What good is it to be known as the best of the rest. They rely on drivers falling off in front of them to even reach p14. This season is their best chance to put one over Williams in a point scoring position. Next year they wont stand a chance Williams will have Mike Coughlan and a strong driver line up and Coughlan is the nearest you get to Adrian Newey in F1.

They have to get rid of Gascoyne its Gascoyne who is holding them back now.

I actually think Team Lotus (Caterham) has done a really excellent job! It's only their second year, they have only the smallest fraction of the resources of the big teams - and in that respect you would have to include Williams.

One can make all kinds of excuses for Williams, and make all kinds of predictions about what they will be like next year, but the reality is that a tiny team with nothing like their resources and more importantly experience, is beating them - points or no.

I don't think there is any doubt that the team would not be in the position they are in without Gascoyne. He has brought a lot to them. I don't recall them ever claiming to be regular point scorers in year two. I recall that they regularly wanted to be mixing in the midfield which is exactly what they are doing.

Well done Team Lotus/Caterham. You have acquired a new supporter!

I think you are wrong about Team Lotus's budget against Williams. Team Lotus are bigger spenders than Williams nowadays and they are not a tiny team. Only HRT and Virgin that can claim that honour spending about a third of Team Lotus budget.

It is time for Gascoyne to go even Fernandes has alluded to that fact.

That extra 0.3 seconds a lap from KERS next year could put them in 10th-16th place finishes every race.

I wonder what odds are offered on them being points scorers next season?

Totally agree Williams have spent no where near what Team Lotus have this season, I read somewhere they TL spent 200 million in the first year, why keep banging on about them being a new team they are not the only people that are new to F1 are the mugs who keep paying for it.

Q. How to earn a small fortune out of F1
A. Start with a big one.

I dont think the Malaysians were told that.
