both red bull drivers have contributed to the teams succes, but not too many could dominate mark webber the way he's been dominated this year, the closest has probably been alonso/massa at ferrari, vettel may be the new benchmark!

You sure don't, Seb -
All you need is the best car on the grid,
to be the favourite of the team ,
to have virtually no unlucky incidents all season
and bingo ! - there you go . .
Oh, and of course a modicum of driving talent , but nothing special required there what with all that other stuff in your favour. . hehe !

Some really nice words from Seb, good on him to appreciate what he's had. I think you make your own luck, and the best way to keep out of trouble is to be at the front.

For me he's really grown as a driver this season, kept the speed he's always had but cut out the errors. It's difficult to know how much is him and how much is a superior car because Webber's performance doesn't really make the car look the best - but then I suspect the car is built to Seb's preferences and driving style, which is why Webber hasn't been able to get as much out of it.

Vettel has made his own luck .
But his greatest luck over the last 2 years has been having Webber on the almost identical car as a team mate, that creating no competition from within.
This is only a personal opinion.no offence is intended.

Hotlaps I am by no means a Vettel supporter and even I disagree with you.......his blistering qualifying speed and ability to pull and maintain a 10 second gap are what kept him out of "unlucky incedents"

He did have the best car but that does not guarentee you a championship....

Agree, the redbull is the best car by some way, yes, the mclaren looks closer now but most of the season the gap has been huge, but Mark Webber has shown that you still need to get the best out of it to win the title.. Most definitely wouldn't have won in the mclaren though.. Seb has driven brilliantly this year. The rest need to work on his lighting starts..
