The facts are this that it is obvious that Circuit of America is withholding Funds and thus causing delays.
You can not blame Contractors and all parties involved for stopping work. I dont know to many people who would continue to work for free (would you).

For sure the State of Texas would do their part and release the agreed money, But Only After Circuit of America (again) Signs documents and does what they said in the beginning about their part in FUNDING which they have not done.

It looks like Circuit of America is doing a ponzi scheme. All talk and no money.

Rolfe - do you know what else is planned for the circuit apart from F1 and MotoGP? Perhaps the promoters have had a rethink. Perhaps the excitment of a new circuit clouded better judgement. Texas is about gambling - Indy is motor racing - Bernie is going senile.

Is this Full throttle racing or circuit of America's or State Of Texas Major Event fund that's let this fall apart ?

My understanding is that Susan Combs Has said the money ( that's not approved yet, I checked the Web site approved list as of 31st Oct 2011) will only be paid AFTER the event and the Tax revenue impact can be calculated.

This debacle is like most proposed "tracks" in this area of Texas. Absolutely nothing for the beautiful people to do, HEAT, dirt, no roads, lack of infrastructure and support facilities - ridiculous. Texas World Speedway at College Station could never make it and they are reasonably close to Houston, but not close enough. The population demographics in this area are against high buck events like this. They will come one time to see what it is about, then NEXT. NASCAR in Ft Worth, sure. The demographics and support items are there and it works, but Austin?, get real.

New Jersey makes sense since it has all the above that Austin does not. Austin is even marginal for airport service for big aircraft in large numbers.

If the State of Texas signs on to financially support this thing there will be major anger from all. Our schools are laying off teachers, we need highway repair and construction, on and on. Millions to an iffy F-1 race? Ridiculous. The rose colored glasses are ver
