Yep, I'll apologize as my ass has been roasted by the chiefs and they said they'd take away my toy for next year.

I see a driver who has steadily improved, knuckled down and made the best of what machinery he had available. Sorry but I find "Lotus" a joke since Renault off loaded.

He has 'apologised' for saying entirely what he really thinks.
Afterwards, money talks.
Shame he did not have the courage of his convictions, but perhaps that is too much to ask in F1.

Perhaps its more of the case that he hopes he will get kicked out with a nice fat payoff rather than stay with this hopeless team ? . .

Petrov has tried this year and improved. The car has not. Hieldfield must be feeling very vindicated for the fight he put up when asked to leave and it does look like he should have been listened to. A very expensive mistake from Lotus. I hate calling them that. Can we think of a new name. On that note I bet Tony fernandes has a little grin on his face to. Businessmen cannot run Formula 1 teams. Please Bernie give us back our sport.

I don't like him much for being a pay driver but I was starting to respect him for finally speaking out against his team which had been screwing over their own drivers, now he takes back what he said making him look like an even bigger goofball.
