F1 » Sutil now in pole position at Williams?

Amid rumours that Kimi Raikkonen has ended talks with Williams, Adrian Sutil may have been handed an F1 lifeline.

I'm sorry but the Raikkonen suggestion was never going to happen, Kimi is finished with F1. His whole racing of late has been very scrapy and I don't think he even knows what he wants to do anymore. There are some rumours that he is getting bored of WRC (with the amount of times he has crashed out, I'm not surpised) - he will probably do a type of tin top circuit racing next.

I think Sutil going to Williams would be a good choice! He seems to be stagnating at Force India and needs a new team to revitalise him.

Sutil could be a good choice for Williams, irrespective of Raikonnen's availability. When he came into F1 he got a reputation for being a bit wild and for running into things but actually, quietly over the last couple of years, he's turned into a good, fast and pretty consistent driver. The last few races he's had the upper hand over DiResta who is pretty highly rated. Surprised Mercedes haven't looked at Sutil for next year (he fits the key requirement of being German as well!)

Some tough decision making must have been there at FI.
They want to tap Hulk's talent but Sutil has helped them to reach where they are...not the fastest man out there but certainly a good development driver and much more experienced that Di Resta & Hulkenberg put together..

That said, Williams move would be a fresh new start for him, and should not be disappointing with better engine and 'Donado taking care of moneybag :P

Today Formula One is not about talent also driver must have money. Even HRT is asking it driver seat for $ 10 Millions. Talent drivers need big rich sponsor like Telemex Boss Carlos Slim before they get pay by the team. Sergio Perez is not the best Rookie driver but he is the Golden Boy with a lot of money behind him in Formula One today. I will not be surprise if he get Ferrari Massa seat in 2013. To get seat in Ferrari will cost at least 40 millions.
Sutil will bring sponsor to team but for Kimi Raikkonen Williams need to pay him. Current William situation is not strong enough to finance itself to bring Raikkonen without outside financial backing. Willams has to take Sutil instead of Raikkonen if negotiation with Qatar sponsor failed reach agreement.
Good luck to Sutil.
He deserves race seat for 2012.

Brilliant choice of driver if Williams get him, if I were Force India i'd have stuck with him. He's certainly better than either of the current pairing at Williams.
