I bet this was a deliberate move by RBR to 'break' Vettel's car (agreed with Seb of course) and 'gift' the win to Webber and spruce up a race no one wanted to see (I never did watch) After all, Vettel had long by now wrapped up the F1WC (both drivers & constructors) and what did he have to loose by deliberately giving it to Webber? After all, he also broke Mansell's record yesterday of most poles in a season

Coming in 2012:

The NEW RBR gearbox that saves weight by running with zero oil, and has no need for a seperate cooler!

Too bad they still would have to run like 4 races....

Well if you could see the live timing it looked pretty fishy. Vettel lost about 2 seconds a lap until Webber was in front. Then shortly afterwards he was back up to the front running pace.

Well said Eddie.

Anyone daft enought to think that race was fixed needs a check up from the neck up! If Vettel had been told to give that race to Webber I'm sure he would have because he's a team player, I'm also sure if that had been the case he would have been planted right up Webber's chuff at the end of the race because he is a born racer. Wake up people!

Does anybody really think that if Vettel won the previous grand Prix, and looking to tie Schumacher 13 wins record ,the RedBull, would have developed the gear problem ( Which allowed Webber to be 3rd in the championship????
The McLaren had a gear problem and we heard it on Tv and retired.

When Vettel was going faster he was told to slow down because the problem was getting worse.

I dont know which is worse giving team orders directly according to team needs or,lie so blatantly because McLaren know that it can not be proven one way or the other

But hats off to Horner and his Team in maximising the team s results.
I really felt for Mark ,when I saw him so quite at the end.

Ciao

Very whitty title crash! :D

I don't know.... it must be a massive relief for Webber to at least get 1 win this season and very well done! :D

He finally made the most out of Vettel's misfortunes, but as he said in the interview after the race, it was a bittersweet victory as he would have prefered to of won through a wheel to wheel battle with Seb instead of through misfortune, however a win is a win and what a fine way to cap off what has been a frustraiting season.

Thank you for the fun racing in 2011! Here is to 2012 :D
