If they are looking for possible replacements for Webber in 2013 , and 'great' not 'good' drivers, I don't see why they are keeping both SRT drivers. Having neither really stand out is not a reason for both to be retained is it ?

Wind forward a year - they have to pick one driver to move to Redbull and determining who is the most talented STR driver this year , then testing them against Ricciardo would make that decision a lot easier .

Dear Toro Rosso,
Buemi and Alguersuari are not the droids you're looking for.

IMO Ricciardo deserved that seat at the start of 2011. Nice bloke, learns quick and I have no idea why STR stick with the drivers they have at the moment over him.

Alguersuari is still going to be the youngest driver on the grid next year if str retain him. He has improved an awful lot and is ready to win grand prix for red bull racing. Another year at toro rosso will make him the complete package. Hes ready to lead that team and show what he can do. Alguersuari is the real deal.
He has been standing out in the mid field this year, his drive in korea was remarkable. I would have thought red bull would place him and ricciardo at toro rosso. Not sure why they need to place him at another team. Maybe its time to let buemi go and have vergne as the third driver.

I don't know why Caterham would want to replace such a young up-and-coming driver like Trulli. They should at least give him a few seasons to see if he's got what it takes to have a future at this level of competition.

What is the point in Toro Rosso being a Red Bull junior drivers team if they are not going to give their other promising drivers a chance and palm them off to other teams? Can you imagine that if he drove for example... The Williams team, that Frank would be happy to release him to the Toro Rosso team mid season if Ricciardo was doing a brilliant job? Its not the first time a Red Bull junior was released by a non Red Bull team mid season after an impressive one off race. I say that if Red Bull insists on bringing in their junior drivers then either enter another team for their program or make room for them at Toro Rosso.

this seems to be a "slag buemi and algy" time. there are claims that they were not performing well for str, but no account is being given to the performance of the car. it "has to be the drivers fault"!
i am sure that red bull are far more aware of their merits, than the posters here.
despite the support eminating from australia, for an australian driver, i still fail to see how daniel has impressed enough to warrant an str drive.
trulli and kovi both have contracts with caterham for next year, but it is possible that fernandes may sacrifice one of them if the money is right.

People seem to forget, even Mark Webber, prior to 2009 was a pretty regular looking driver. He did nothing of note, never finishing a season higher that 10th (for 7 seasons).

Alguesuari has only had 2 full seasons and buemi 3 full seasons...
