Rob, a little harsh on calling Gascoyne a failure. Has he not designed cars which have won grand prix races?! He helped turn Jordan around in 1998 (wining in spa and twice in 1999)and Renault from 2001 who were in the toilet when he joined (one win). The great and late Harvey Postlethwaite highly rated him and he knew a thing or two about designing winning f1 cars. I think he gets a bad wrap because he gets things done regardless who he p*sses off.

Toyota spending all that $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is not Mike Gascoynes fault. It's Toyota's. The TF105, which Gascoyne designed was the most competitive the team had produced. He believed they were going about things wrong, so they suspended him and then let him go. And was he right? The results speak for themselves. Why do you think he can command a $6m contract? Because people like him, get things done.....

Rob..Nah I didnt bother with that cos we all know what happened. I'll tell ya what happened with the Force India gig seeing you asked. Force India entered a technical partnership with McLaren-Mercedes and not only was MG released so was Colin Kolles. My final comment on this matter is you have no evidence at all proving MG is a 'failure'.
