@ron'sgoldenboy
Lulu didn't agree to 10 yrs deal therefore 70mn for 5 yrs.

@Taipan
Don't compare Ferrari and Macca salaries. And pls. don't bring Ferdi over here.He is the lowest paid (though still overpaid) Ferrari no.1. No results unlike schumi and Kimi.Kimi earned 50mn same like schumi. Ferdi is on 30mn. Now ferrari r wiser.
Maybe that's(money) the reason he is still with Ferrari.

angelina. buttons deal has been widely confirmed as 15m per year over three years. and lulu was NEVER offered a 10 year deal. no team would ever consider a 10 year deal, with any driver, even one who had been nurtured by that team for years. a ten year deal would bring a driver well outside their competitive age, and any team would not wish to be stuck with a driver who was tailing off. not if they wanted to be particularly successful. you only have to look at recent results to appreciate these dangers.

I seem to remember Schumacher being announced the highest paid sportsman in the world on 32 Million, round about 02/03.
Anyway, Alonso bags it for me. Has been exceptional this season, just more impressive than Vettel in my opinion. That sequence of laps in South Korea was incredible!

Have to agree Stuart - Alonso had great season especially as the Ferrari was not on par with RB or Mcl. He got everything possible out if that car.

Just (finally) saw both days of the ROC, and that confirmed my choices. Seb in first (where else) and JB in second. For third, there is a pack of contenders, but really, no particular standout.
Lewis, Fernando, Michael, Nico and Webber all about even in the talent department, the rest are just that, the rest.
Maybe Lewis in third, just for the wins.

@Stuart, Mortan & somany others living in past

I don't see how Ferdi did a good job in Ferrari. He was expected to finish 5th in 3rd fastest car, and he finished 4th.
Not an excellent performance. 4th & not 5th only as his team asked massa to block lulu. I think the radio conversation was broadcasted. And being 4th when expected 5th is not as good as being 1st when expected 1st.

Didn't extract max. from car as Massa outqualified & outraced him sometimes.

The diff. betn Vettel & Webber is more by all means. Poles, racewins, outqualifying & outracing.

Webber could never outrace Seb except his homerace & in Brazil due to gearbox problem.

I think this stands out.

BTW all the default champions betn 2005 & 2009 have lower win percentage than Seb. Seb has over 25% wins in only 4 full seasons.1 year of which was in Torro Rosso.Therefore comparisons to Schumi & Senna.

I think being Best on any(many) track is better than being good overall. Bernie too thought that after 2008.

BTW I guess nobody doubts Seb's qualifying skills as they were evident many times like Abu Dhabi, Suzuka, Hungary, Canada,India, etc. recently.
