F1 » F1 Driver of the Year vote: 4th

Thought Kobayashi and Kovalainen were surprise inclusions in these results? Rookie Paul di Resta's impressive debut season may not have been enough to overcome Force India team-mate Adrian Sutil on points, but was sufficiently impressive to land fourth spot in your F1 Driver of the Year poll

Brave move Crash! It would have been easier just to fix the result and include JB, FA, SV and Lulu in the top four because the level of whining at whoever is left out will be off the scale!

Di Resta's had a really good rookie season but no way was he the 4th best driver of the year.

Nonsense, absolute nonsense.

Sutil 10th in the poll despite having 42 points & finishing 9th in the championship.
Di Resta 4th in the poll despite having 27 points & finishing 13th in the Championship.

In the same freaking car.

Your bias is showing!

The reason why Di Resta has been rated higher is because he's a rookie as compared to Sutil! Sutil surely deserved to be rated higher than Kobayashi & Kovallinen! If people are thinking that it's strange that Di Resta finished higher than Sutil in this list, it's even stranger that Sutil doesn't have a drive for next year, inspite of finishing a strong 9th in the championship! Don't know why Webber was 8th as Sutil performed better than him when you look at the team mate performance comparison! Di Resta has not only scored for his performances but also for his maturity & level head thinking!

So a 2011 grand prix winner won't be in this top 10 and if it is Hamilton, a multiple grand prix winner and the only non Red Bull driver to get pole as well. Di Resta had a solid season and was the best rookie but he didn't beat his teammate and only scored one more point than Alguersuari who are both drivers without seats at this present time. Add to the fact he did make the odd rookie mistake with collisions at Monaco and Montreal means for me he isn't the fourth best driver on the grid, a top 10 driver yes, but the likes of Hulkenberg, Vettel, Button and even Kovalainen had more impressive debut seasons in F1 with a mid-pack car.
