F1 » F1 Driver of the Year vote: 4th

Thought Kobayashi and Kovalainen were surprise inclusions in these results? Rookie Paul di Resta's impressive debut season may not have been enough to overcome Force India team-mate Adrian Sutil on points, but was sufficiently impressive to land fourth spot in your F1 Driver of the Year poll

Looks like Hamilton is Lower than Mark Webber. That is not fair because Webber in the World championship winning car won one race which Vettel won many in. Hamilton won 3 races this year.

what a great season for di Resta and a well deserved 4th place in driver of the year!!!!! Barely scraped together half the points of his teamate, finished 4 positions below his teamate in the WDC and was even beat out by a pay driver and someone who didnt have a drive from Spa onwards. Good job crash for putting such a deserving driver near the top!!! Keep it up and finish it out with Karun Chandok, Felipe Massa and Lewis Hamilton!

Very biased here it seems. Di Resta was good but didn't deserve 4th. 4th!! FFS. Hamilton will be out of the top 10 and to be honest, he doesn't deserve to be. Has he been inconsistent? Yes Error prone and a bit erratic? Definitely. But at times he has been brilliant. Also, why the hell is Kobayashi in the top 10? His season fell off so much. Surely Alguersuari deserves his spot? Top 3 really should be Vettel, Button and Alonso (in that order).

Its quite amusing thats it is ourselves that have voted on this poll, yet when the results are in so many seem to disagree.

Also if im not mistaken this poll is for your F1 driver of the year. Not who won the most races, or even who beat their team mates but who you think did their job well relevant to the cirumstances.

I personally gave di resta a high vote because hes shown as an F1 rookie hes mature, very fast and towards the end of the season becoming very consistent. Hes a champion of both formula 3 and dtm and has shown in his first year to be a competitive driver in a highly comprtitive field.

Wowzer, what an odd place for Di Resta to finish in. If he was not British he would not be in the top 10, let alone 4th.

It'll be interesting to see Hulkenburg wipe the floor with him next season.

There are a lot of harsh comments towards di Resta which I completely disagree with... yes he ended the season 15 points behind his "highly regarded" team mate but you all seem to forget where he came from... DTM! DTM is completely different to Formula 1 aqnd this guy performed way above expectation. He also had great races during the mid season where he was massively out performing Sutil... Silverstone and Canada come to mind where he was well inside the top 10... In Canada he was 5th before he made a rookie mistake trying to pass Heidfeld and at Silverstone his team f**ked up his stop dropping him well outside the points. Di Resta has had a great year from where he came from last season... he'll be a much better driver next year and I think the British public should get behind him instead of trying to knock him!
