it breaks my heart to think that Spa might not be on the calendar every year.

to think it would go in favour of some unattended tilke track in a oil rich dustbowl sickens me

Luca has started the usual saber rattling ahead of a new concorde. A concorde that if done properly should bring more money to the teams and bring down the fees that tracks pay to have a race. Hopefully Luca backs up what he speaks this time and doesn't take the goodies. You know Ferrari like the goodies. We will see.

Mr.Montezemolo is right, these classic European circuits must stay on the F1 Calendar they are a part of F1 history and the history of Motorsport. Getting rid of them will destroy F1's image. Bernie should drop the hosting prices especially in these economic times where countries are falling into debt.

These other places deserve to be back on the F1 Calendar: Adelaide, Jerez, Imola, Detroit, Mexico City, Kyalami, Estoril, Magny Cours/Paul Ricard and Zandvoort. Instead of trying to extend it globally and trying to give it to places that don't even care about F1, it should go back to the way it was in the 80's and 90's. They've all produced some classic races in their time of hosting it especially Adelaide which should have stayed on the calendar as the last race of the season.

I totally agree with Luca however with both of these two they don't say anything unless they have got a greater meaning. In Bernie's case it must be surely to increase the price and facilities of the existing European race venues and in Luca's case it must be in preparation of a new Concorde agreement in any case what does Luca care where F1 races because most of these new F1 countries buy lots of Ferrari road cars - China, Abu Dhabi, India, and soon to be Russia.

Rob, experience shows and tells me that LDM always backs up what he speaks.
About LDM and the goodies! There are some rumours that FERRARI and Red BULL may already have inked separate concord agreements but LDM denied these rumours and said, we will start negotiations in January, whether as a group or individually, we will come to an agreement, (LDM sounds sure of what he says).
On a different note, I for once feel sorry for Lulu, some adviser of his is trying to starve him to a skeleton like figure by putting him on a strict diet over the festive season, and he says he is dying for a beacon sandwich, poor kid!.
