lapped cars cam overtake safety cars...ah! some overtaking opportunities for the HRTs nd Virgins.lol...jokes apart,I hope they are more competent nd improve the show rather than their 50 lap journey

rob. you mispelled again! lulu is spelt LULU, and not massa.

reading the rule closely, it is noticable that the description of the racing line only applies to the ENTRY to the corner. hence the problem that i mentioned a few days ago. car 1 goes to left to block at a lefthand corner, and cannot then change direction. but he can then move to the outside at the exit, meaning that car 2 which had been passing on the righthand side, will be pushed onto the grass, if car 1 maintains his line!

this will really affect lulu , as he is so often behind others these days, he will need a briggs and straton to help him in his passing attempts.

Richard,
WTF are you talking about? it is about time they did something about blocking, how schumi got away with what he was doing was bad for the sport IMHO. then you get jokers on here blaming Lewis for not being able to get past...get real....

orville. read my post! it is fairly clear what i am talking about. maybe your green feathers are blocking your vision?
the move to protect your racing line is only relevant to the area BEFORE the corner. a car is entitled to return to the racing line as it exits the corner. if this pushes an overtaking car off the track, there is no basic rule that can be applied.

incidentally, i see that the teams that have signalled their leaving of fota, have all agreed concorde agreements with bernie, currently leaving the others out in the cold. bernies motto? divide and conquer!

"Clarifies" yeah right, til the FIA changes the rule again next week. Grandad Schumacher will still ignore the rule whatever it is and change line constantly to keep proper racers behind him. And there's always his failsafe maneuver - run 'em off the track if they get too close!

I dont think its worth worrying about what happens after the apex , that will take care of itself and all the drivers know the score . The approach to the corner needed clarifying , not because it wasn't already clear to most sensible drivers , but because there will always be those who think that they can push beyond the limitations of the rules and get away with it ( we all know who they are ) . There will still be those who want to try their luck this year but hopefully the stewards will clamp down with drive-thru penalties and nip it in the bud .
