no name. people dont hate senna, its just that a lot do not rate him. he has not shone or shown signs of greatness. there are many other drivers who would have more ability than him. but there again, if he brings a load more cash, he might have a chance from a cash strapped team?

And again I ask you Richard, why don't people rate him? What has he done or rather not done for him to be rated poorly by the fans?Is it because he has Senna as his last name,he needs to start winning or blow his competitors out of the field? Now don't tell me he hasn't won anything including GP2,coz Maldonado has won one and he is still rated poorly.Don't tell me Alonso,Webber,Vettel or Hamilton when they came in showed signs of greatness by immediately challenging or beating their team mates, putting their car where it didn't deserve to be.They came in at a time when unlimited testing was still available with Lewis and Vettel in competitive cars(TR was almost the same car and RBR).I don't know how much testing was done by the Minardi team, but I would guess Alonso had more seat time in an F1 car than when Senna came in.Paul di Resta is praised sky high, but he didn't blow Sutil out of the field. Also he made his debut in a car which is high midfield not a complete back marker like the HRT.

contd. Hulkenberg failed to beat Rubens, but is still praised.Perez's only great attribute is he can drive an entire race on one set of tires. Please tell me since 2009 which rookie has shown signs of greatness(testing ban introduced).Sorry for the rant and a big a** comment but I just don't understand the fan rating system.

souvikb. perez has not been bad, and neither has koba. but you really answer your own question. nico was brought in by lotus renault, ran a couple of races, was toasted twice and pushed out as well, before being sacked. yet he still scored higher than senna who had a full season. he also made quite a number of silly mistakes (although some more experienced drivers also did that). but overall, the fans who have followed f1 for years can make a fairly accurate assessment of a drivers abilities, and in my opinion, senna doesnt "cut the mustard". he got his drive due to bringing cash to the team, and not because of pure ability.

I don't know I still don't think Senna has been given really a decent shot. I mean he did race a full season with HRT but come on look at that team I don't need to explain that one. And Lotus I think was a sh!tty situation because of Boullier or whatever that idiots name is. I think the wrong drivers get sacked. I mean Senna has the cash but he got beat out at Renault by Kimi and (sorry to be this way) the Frenchman's little protege Grosjean. Boulier and Grosjean kind of reminds me of Prost and Balestre. Either way sorry I'm a little biased towards Bruno because I was a huge fan of Ayrton so that 's also probably where this comes from. :)

@Richard, you got me confused. Nico brought in by Lotus Renault?Which Nico and how many points did he score? It is a genuine question.I am not trying to be a smart a**.Regarding Perez, yes he hasn't been horrible but he hasn't even shown the greatness which fans clamor for from every rookie driver.Koba made a hell of a lot of 'silly mistakes',as you call it,in his first full year with Sauber.People love him because he makes those devil may care banzai moves, not because they think he is a future WDC.And how can we ever say some drivers are utter crap without giving them a fair chance(HRT and less than half a season in LRGP does not count).Bruno hasn't once had the chance to actually be part of pre season testing and coming to first GP with some experience about the car.The new toast of town,Button, being hailed as the smoothest driver ever since Prost, the one who beat Lewis, was never considered any great shakes in his initial years. However he got the chance of his lifetime with Brawn and m
