It's there to make the article a little more controversial I suspect, it's the authors own interpretation of Hamilton's words, not sure I agree.

Button doesn't criticise the team over the radio, maybe they are happier to work with him. I'd take Lewis's statement as thinly veiled criticism of the team, that's my interpretation. No more than you'd hear during the Rossi Lorenzo years though.

Buttons midfield experience has probably given him a vast amount knowledge to draw on to help the engineers create a good set up.

The biggest problem with Lewis though seemed to be his personal life (on and off with Scherzinger/tension with his dad/**** management team) which created more problems on the track (ridiculous over take attempts out of frustration/on track dirty fights with Massa/lack of confidence because of all his crashes).

He needs to fire his management team, get rid of Scherzinger and get someone who can support him on weekends and build a consistent team of people around him who he is happy and comfortable with.

I don't understand. Is Lewis suggesting that McLaren build the team around Button and design cars to his liking instead of running a two-driver scheme? I don't believe that things run that way anymore at McLaren, but even if they do, Lewis is hardly one to complain. He's had his fair share of favouristism.

Lewis and Jenson get on - everybody knows that. Nobody likes to be beaten by their team mate, Hamilton is no different. He's realised that Jenson having his team of people round him has helped him to have another great season. I'm sure Lewis is aware he should have the same thing if he wants to have a better year in 2012. With his girlfriend gone, he needs to get a manager from inside F1, or at least from inside the sporting world, rather than his current management who are more suited to the world of entertainment. That should help him get his head straight and get back to racing, and racing well.

I'm with Taz on this one. Bit of an excuse there too - Button beat him only because he had a better technical team, not because he was a better driver. Also that last phrase indicates he's trying to but a little pressure on McL to provide him with the best engineers - the Toseland/Edwards situation comes to mind.

dyke. you say lulu and button "get on". but that is in the pits etc. button has said that he does not see lulu apart from race weekends. i would have thought that if two teammates really "got on", they would at least socialise occassionally?
