The Spanish and Belgian GPs could be the subject of further talks over alternating dates between venues in a bid to cut costs.

How can they possibly contemplate binning Spa? It's like when they shortened the Hockenhiem circuit, there seems to be no respect for the older historical circuits.
If they want a circuit in Spain, how about running at Aragon? It's been by far the best Spanish race in MotoGP since it came in.

While we are at it we will eliminate Budapest, Monza, Monaco, and Silverstone to accomodate all the middle eastern organizers, Iran, and North Korea. SPLENDID!!!!! As a long time fan who misses the likes of Imola, Ada, and South Africa to name a few, this is a cardinal sin for F1. Why Spa? That's a track that shouldn't even be in the discussion. As an American F1 fan I already have my doubts about Austin and I would trade the USGP for Spa anyday of the week. F1 won't make it in the US because of Crapcar sorry NASCAR. Don't trade Spa!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

I would like to see F1 closer to us though it won't survive in US and would never have whether or not Nascar.
I am sure Bernie, drivers n all members of teams who fly to gps r excited about flying here. Europeans love us aned we love Europe. Vettel and Hamilton had even expressed their enthusiasm about racing in New York in media.

Sacrilegious !!
Spa is as important to F1 as Monaco. To my mind, there are three tracks that should be untouchable. Spa, Monaco and Suzuka. Five if you include Silverstone and Monza. These tracks are to root of Formula One. The thing that sets F1 apart is that the tracks are stars in their own right. Ask Mark Webber, he says that he tell which track is being driven, just by the audio feed from the engine noise. That is because he knows every corner like the back of his hand. Well so do most F1 fans when it comes to these iconic tracks. I can close my eyes and SEE a lap of Spa, or Monaco, or Suzuka, etc. There is something seriously wrong with Bernie.

From BBC F1 Gossip Jan 31/12
"The French Grand Prix, off the calendar since 2009, will return on 1 September 2013 at Le Castellet circuit near Marseille, in a new deal that will see it alternate year-on-year with the Belgian Grand Prix at SpaFrancorchamps.

Goddam Frenchmen.
Who gives a Scheise about a french race when it comes at the cost of the best track in the world...
