Adrian Sutil will appear in court at the end of the month, charged with assaulting Genii Capital's Eric Lux in a Shanghai nightclub last April.

You have to say Sooty's defense has some holes in it...
"I went to playfully pour a drink over Lux's head and the glass broke and I accidently violently stabbed him in the neck, your honour."

I can't see Lulu being much of a defense for him either, apparently he was bravely hiding behind his body guards when it kicked off!

now that you mention lulu... isnt it odd that lulu spends no time outside, with his team leader, yet goes out drinking and clubbing with adrian?

but this case comes at a bad time for sutil. just when he is trying to get the williams seat for 2012. the publicity will do his chances no good.

Obviously he is being accused of an error, rather than a serious assault or else he would have been locked up already pending his trial. World wide drink fuelled incidents are on the rise and steps are being taken to make examples of VIPs where possible.

Whatever the result at worse it will cost a lot of money to keep the headlines going. He may also lose/get endorsements on, his Super Licence if the FIA think he has brought the sport (?) into disrepute.
It should be interesting to follow this in court.

Just because JB and LH are team mates, doesn't mean that they have to spend time with each other outside of the track, or are you saying that because they are team mates that they do? Do you see any other team mates doing the same?

Also, at the time of the incident, I do not believe that JB was the "team leader" as you put it. Nor is he now in a team of equals.

I was disagreed with on an earlier thread (a couple of weeks ago) when I dared suggest that Sutil's chances of getting a drive in 2012 are limited because he is 'damaged goods' from a sponsors point of view. I can't see any team wanting to pick up Sutil when he is facing a trial for causing GBH and also faces the possibility of a jail term. Nobody wants their team or brand associated with that kind of publicity.

calvin. we went through this "best pals" discussion a week or so ago. and my comment is FACT.
and when mclaren are visibly supporting button over lulu, does that not show you who is the team leader? and lulu is even admitting that he is envious of buttons team.
and since when did mclaren treat their drivers absolutely equally? (must ask dc, kovi, ferdi etc!)
