An F1 career is a series of challenges. Yes, we can talk about him replacing Webber at Red Bull next year, but if he doesn't beat his teammate this year, then you can forget about it. Daniel's got a good head on his shoulders and I'm sure he's more interested in doing well at Toro Rosso before jumping too far ahead in his plans (though a Red Bull drive would be nice).

@ Dee

Daniel is a terrific young man with his feet firmly
planted and is under no illusions as to what he has to

Whilst a U.K. colleague and friend on this forum would prefer to believe otherwise I personally consider Daniel has the determination and tenacity to succeed in F1.

Until this time Mark has left Daniel to his own devices but now a old hand will mentor a young hand in his endeavours with the old hand having plenty to teach.

Whats he done so far thats so fantastic to deserve a seat in the best car on the Grid?? If they are looking for the next Vettel they havent found him yet but they do have the next Webber.

Don't be surprised if Webber beats Vettle this year. They have taken away/changed the two items vettel excelled with. Off throttle blowing and the bite control on the starts. It's a new ballgame next year.

Im am aware of the backgrounds of Webber and Ricciardo and Ricciardos CV is no more impressive than most drivers on the grid. Do you believe he is the next Vettel, Alonso or Hamilton because thats who RBR are looking for and he is not it, just my opinion and would love him to prove me wrong and have another guy fighting for the crown :)
