A well-deserved recognition of Casey Stoner's incredible skill & consistency, particularly as it is set against a backdrop from certain quarters doubting his motivation & ability. I'm confident 2012 will reinforce Casey's status as the very best on the planet.

There was plenty of criticism for even conducting this poll, considering the list of candidates. And I suspect many will further criticize the order in which people are placed. Still, you must admit, reading through this list it is clear that everyone who made it is indeed a great racer in their respective sport. Now, I'd of had Button ahead of Stoner, though not necessarily at the top, considering the number of great passes he made through the season. But Stoner did romp away from everyone, including his teammate. which begs the question, why isn't Vettel higher. And on we go....

Repsol Honda bike was already developed and show strong performance in late 2010.
Strong Repsol Honda bike help Stoner wins the most of race.
However, Marco Simoncelli was truly Samurai racer. If Marco were on Repsol Honda bike and then he will win almost all races in 2011.
Sadly, our Champ does not have a chance to show his full color.
Rest in peace Champ God be with you.

@chop chop
The only thing Honda would have achieved by putting Sic on Stoner's bike (or Pedrosa's - as they're the same, but strangely he couldn't make it perform like Stoner's?)would have been a bigger repair bill.
When you say 'Samurai' I think you really mean 'Kamikaze'. There is a difference. I liked Sic a lot - make no mistake, but consider this. If he'd have walked away from that crash and either Rossi or Edwards had been tragically killed, wouldn't the poll results be rather different?
