Still don't understand why they make a fuss of the lap times it's just a way of collecting data doing tyre checks. Maybe at the next test it will be slightly different they can input all the data received this time, then will see a bit more of the true running pace.

Mercedes top of the time sheets is of course, irrelevant, using last years exhaust diffuser etc. However, if memory serves, usually those cars quick "out of the box" tend to be quick at the first GP. If I was a Ferrari fan I would be worried as Massa has already declared publicly that they have a lot of work to do.

Sure, but I still remember 2009, when they rocked up for testing and went super quick...... and what happened next!!??

Let's all hope for either a competitive 2012, or a shake up..... A Red Bull runaway is no fun!

Forgetting pre-history when factories such as Auto Union or Mercedes ruled the roost, the last time one team dominated was Ferrari/Schumacher and this was a time when Ferrari got away with rule bending that made Uri Geller look like Mr.Straight. As the teams have had a couple of seasons of relative stability as shown by the similarity of the 2012 cars I reckon a one team domination is thankfully unlikely. Adrian Newey is brilliant but not omnipotent.
