I think this was a brilliant film. It's a shame that over here in US it wasn't given an academy award nomination. Instead the academy still gives *****ic movies about idiots like Sarah Palin nominations. Sad.

Hey VictorBT33 then I guess you must be a NASCAR fan or a lulu fan. Go away.

Am I one of the few who thought it was very average at best? It was a documentary. I had seen 90% of the clips before and the guy was a cheat. A good driver certainly and in ordinary cars at the start of his career (unlike someone we know who likens himself to Senna)he was exceptional. Didnt even show his great race at Donnington when he overtook 5 cars on the first lap. 6 out of ten.

victor and tomcol. i tend to agree with you. having followed f1 during the senna years, there was nothing to this "film" that had not been seen before. it was just a complilation of previously seen video footage, but with some of his worst offences left out. how it could be called a FILM, i don't know.
this is not to detract from what senna achieved, but a criticism of the "film".

Having watched both Senna and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy recently Im dissapointed Senna lost out on best film to such a drab bleak dreary waste of 2 hours of my life and 18 quid to boot. In comparison, not having followed F1 at the time it was very interesting to watch, and sad for its obvious ending.

Was also surprised they didnt give any attention to his drive at Donington.
