he was never treated as such there so why should they start now ? this is just talks for the media, rb were always preaching one and doing another, mr marko and horner know how this must be done, we all saw how mark had to play decoy in 2010 for alonso so that vettel to have a shot at the championship and this when mark had fighting chance for the title, so keep it for yourself mr energy bulls#!~

The fact is this is Mateshcitz talking, not Horner or Marko, so I am minded to be less cynical than some of the above posters. We will know after the first few rounds if he is true to his word.

I think Mateschitz does see some marketing value in having a driver who seems to represent many of the qualities they wish to be associated with the Red Bull brand, and who is liked for the most part in the UK, US, Oceania and Asia, being successful under the Red Bull banner.
