No surprise that the sponsorship money has followed Petrov. Hopefully the whole team can put it to good use and have a great year.

I have to say I am a bit surprised by how well Trulli has responded to the entire situation.

Grace, tact and level-headed- not what I have expected from Trulli in the past, certainly.

At least, unlike Williams, Caterham aren't trying to pretend money isn't the big factor here. Not to mention, Petrov is better than Senna and Maldonado put together... which still isn't great though.

I don't doubt for one minute that Petrov got the drive because of the money he brought.I can also appreciate that he is now a competent midfield runner. But it raises the question why didn't Renault want to keep him.A team equally in need of funds. Is it maybe because he was so outspoken in his criticism of the team.Furthermore with an Russian GP on the cards it makes further sense. How long will the toys stay in the pram when Heikki shows him up.
