"...reliability prove outs"...one would think that a man for the British Isles could come up with sentences consistent with the english language.

... anyway, It's true, I think the cars are on a very level playing field. Red bull has lost its advantage, and consistency and reliability will play a big part of this season.
I think the Mclarens are looking good and that red bull are going to have to push hard to be where they were last year, but that's not to say they certainly don't have the talent to do it.
I am looking forward to see how far up the grid Force India can get cause they look fast too.
This is a big year for Vettel to prove his skill and having the Iceman back... This year is going to be good!

@ Tealeaf I guess nobody believes u. Vettel is good, but he's not that good. I hope these cars are even. It will put to rest all the nonsense of the last two years off him being one of the greatest of all time. He hasn't driven long enough to be compared to a Fangio, Senna, or even a Schumacher. This is a very important year for him. He has to prove to everybody that it wasn't just the car. I believe that if u put Alonso or Hamilton in any those Redbull cars, they would equal or even better his accomplishments. 2012 is going to be put up or shut up for Vettel. His reputation will be on the line.

pole position. you are doing seb a disservice! look at his results over the last FIVE years. in 2007, he won something like 13 of the 17 formula bmw races. and all cars are identical. in 2008, he was reserve driver for bmw, subbed for kubica, and in his FIRST formula 1 race, came sixth. one of bmws best results that year. in 2009, he went to str, and drove a mid field car to a win, and other podiums. in 2010, went to rbr and won the wdc, with a number of fastest laps and wins. gave rbr their first win. in 2011, backed up his 2010 form, with another wdc, record number of wins etc. not bad for a kid.
i think that this was all at an age when fangio had not even sat in a car.
yes, you cannot compare seb to any previous driver, as times are diferent, but he is setting new standards, which may not be challenged for some time.
and even if he does not win the wdc this year, does that make him any less impressive?

if he wins ..."it is the car". if he doesnt win...."he is no good". poor c
