Despite expecting better results in 2012, the Williams F1 team acknowledges that losing Adrian Newey was a major error of judgement.

Funnily enough some friends of mine and I were saying that very thing while eating Spaghetti Bolognese on Saturday night. Basically the team with Adrian Newey working for them is the best and Adrian Newey is the most important man in F1.

I have to agree! as amazing as he is no one wants the front running car to have a 1 sec advantage. I for one hope that all the recent talk of the teams being closer is true.

Mansell, Prost, Hill, Villeneuve - couldn't, or wouldn't keep one of them. And when Mansell left for Indy, I remember the press conference and the smug look on Frank's face turning to a look of horror when he realized Nigel WAS going to call his bluff.
Yes, this was the team Ayrton left McLaren for, and look what he and Patrick Head have done with it. Laying all the blame at Newey's exit is convenient, as Kimi chose to come back to Lotus, a team that has never seen Newey, and that will kick William's ass this year.
