Some of you need to read more. McLaren is very interested in retaining Lewis. Find me one statement that says otherwise. Besides some of the wishful stories some are producing on this site.

Like him or not, if Hamilton is on form and has his head in the right space, that can only be good for the F1 spectacle.

I just hope he has moved on from last year, otherwise Bernie's speculations could develop into reality.

BTW Victor, I don't see much evidence of restraint when it comes to kicking Webber on this site, but I agree Hamilton does seem to attract more negative attention than the others.

Chris say something sensible,we may listen.Hamilton, exciting driver yes.Complete driver,no.I've maintained all along that he should have been placed with a midfield team for his first season. There he would have matured more as a man.For this oversight you need look no further than his father and Ron Dennis. At the 2008 ROC why was LH driving his brother and father around in the SLR demo. Those around me thought I was booing as a Ferrari fan.It wasn't the only reason..And before you all start saying Vettel had it easy as well, progressing up the Red Bull ladder is cut throat, ask Speed,Buemi et al.Marussia, finally Branson being shown up as the skinflint he really is.4m gbp a year that's all Virgin gave to the team.Glad to see the back of him.

Yes, totally agree Bernie.

You see, he's going to put into good use that business degree he worked so hard for at OXFORD. (Hamilton's a genius with the books). As arguabley, one of the 3 fastest drivers in F1 it would make sense to get a commentating job, alongside Brundle, Coulthard and GT. Or better yet, become a stunt driver in Hollywood, this way you can be closer to Sherzcy, Puffy and co. Yes, his giving up the millions, his base in Switzerland and all the trappings of fame because Bernie says so.

Mclaren have the best driver pairing at the moment. It makes perfect sense to break it up. They have a talent in LH that is only matched by Alonso and to a certain extent, SV. The talent in F1 at the moment is unbelievable, so I find it extremely plausible that the rights holder would want to mess with it.

Biggest load of crap I've seen in a while.

Poor old Bernie, finds it hard to accept that Hammi is the most talked about operative in f1. he is always in the limelight even when he is not looking to be, something Bernie cant stand because he himself who finds it hard to grow old gracefully would like to be in such a position as Lewis, popularity wise.

Now with Massa and Webber being Heavily defeated by their teammates compared to Hammi only losing to Jenson by less than a two race win it would be clear to me which drivers Bernie's comments should be directed at.

As a McLaren fan I can't wait to see the back of Hamilton.

All he has done is bought drama and disrespect to the team. I won't say lying and cheating but he has tarnished the image of my team.

Over rated.....yep.

How long before he ends up in NASCAR?

He won't be at McLaren in 2014. WooHoo

people aren't allowed bad seasons in formula 1 did everyone not know, nor are they allowed any personal life or life what-so-ever that may affect his career (which is also his life) or affect peoples opinions. people need to get of there high horse

the guy is young and he is enjoying it and why the hell shouldn't he. the only people that don't like it are they people that didn't have any friends to enjoy life back when they were young

Wow!

More insults from the Hammy brigade. I guess they have an idea how Alonso and Schumi's fans have felt for years on this board.

Talking about Bernie, do people actually believe he's jealous of Hammy? Though he's no saint, the man built modern F1. So get a grip! Besides, he probably has about 2 and a half billion pounds sitting in his account. He may be old but there's nothing Hammy owns that he couldn't afford 3 or 4 times over.
