What an idiot!!
Alboreto drove for Ferrari 1984 to 1988, but has he forgotten Capelli drove there in 1992? What about the odd race Larini had in the car and Badoer and Fisichella in 2009?

I'm Italian, and sadly there is no decent Italian drivers around. Ferrari should develop them? Why? Let's be honest if an Italian came along that was that good, any team would want him

Bravo Patrese!
I agree, plenty of fast Italians in the lower formula, but Ferrari have been rare to give them ago

Massa's grandfather is Italian if that helps?

Agree 100% with the top 3 that Patrese named, correct

Sometimes being from the same country could be bad.

ROSSI/Ducati so far did not work.
In Italy the pressure could be immense.

Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, no pressure.( their native countries host no slams)

Murray,England, immense pressure

Maybe they should put Alexander Rossi in the car. Rossi is a top, young, fast driver and his signing would allow them to grab the headline they have always desired: "Rossi signs with Ferrari!" Although he is American not Italian, he is of Italian descent and currently lives in Italy. I would say that makes him close enough.
