Saying Maldonado is awful after this is idiotic. On average he was either faster, on the same pace or a fraction slower than Rubens last year. Now we know Rubens isnt "awful". So lets assume Rubens would have gone .500 seconds faster (this is based on nothing). that would still have put him dead last. Nothing can be read into testing times for individual drivers.

It is however promising that the Caterham has finally put in some times that are up there with the midfield teams.
