Coming off a very strong second half last year, and looking reasonably quick in testing, I say Button has a real shot at this year. Vettle is definitely the one to beat, but we'll see how he handles a few losses this year I think. I hope we get to see how mentally tough he is under real pressure, and he may not have the dominant car to works with.
1/. Button (will need to fight)
2/. Vettle
Looking like a repeat of 2010, can't wait.

I don't think ANYONE thinks Hami is without talent. Nor do I (Personally) think his WDC was a fluke. BUT, what he does lack is mental maturity and the ability to bring his a game and focus when he has other things going on in his personal life. He demonstrated that well last year. To finish first, first, you have to finish...
Unfortunately for him now, Jenson has got a foothold at McLaren and surely must be carrying a bit of confidence. He is a fantastic RACER and if he can sort his qualifying a little, Hami will need to watch out, or he could be officially named a number 2.

@Nick636, you would be surprised at some of the views espoused by some people on this site!

apart from that i can't disagree with anything you've said apart from the fact that maclaren never nominate a no.1 and no.2 driver which is part of the reason i'm a fan, unlike what happens at team alonso for example.

let us hope all the drivers bring their 'a' game so we have an exciting season all the way to the last race.

If we take this poll as a reference it seems that it will be a McLaren one-two at the final standigs. Will be it be possible with Red Bull beign competitive again and the other(Ferrari,Mercedes,Lotus) teams on McLaren's neck? The problem here is that many which casted their votes here red in the wrong way the question. It is: Who will win the 2012 F1 drivers' title? Not: Who do you like to win the 2012 F1 drivers' title? I casted my vote to Vettel, even that I am a fan of Alonso and I would wish him to win. Pressuming that Button or Hamilton will win the title, is impossible that they will finish in the top two places. One driver(maybe Vettel) will split them like Button did it with the two Red Bulls last year and Alonso did the same the previous year.

2pac, So McLaren never have number 1 and 2 drivers? don't make me laugh.

Ron Dennis 2007 - "We're racing against Alonso"

Ron Dennis 1989 - Tried to get Senna reinstated (after cheating) at Suzuka so that Prost wouldn't be champion.

Seems like you need to find a new team to support if you don't like team orders.

@taipan, who mentioned team orders??? oh that was YOU!

teflon was plotting against the team and passing info so why shouldn't ron get the hump? remember there's no alonso in team!

as for the events of '89 i'm not in a position to comment since i was still at middle school at that time so not in a position to form my own opinion on those events.

so tell me when was the last time a mclaren "stalled" on the finish line to 'gift' the other mclaren driver the race? hmmmm didn't think so!

Hmmmm I'm pretty sure that Kovalainen was told to let Lulu pass a couple of years ago as well, but according to Lulu that wasn't team orders because he was faster.

Double standards = Comical
