McLaren sets early pace in Melbourne, but damp and drying track leaves results inconclusive.

It's the first time I've had a proper look at the new cars in action. The Bulls looked quite twitchy on inters, better on the slicks.

But the impression I got from from Vettel's side of the garage is something wasn't quite right with the car and they seemed downbeat.

Apparently it's raining right now so we might not see any proper full out dry running today. Which is a shame.

@sokodu - I agree Button looked impressive, he put in 3 consecutive fastest laps, over 1/2 a second faster than the rest. Hamilton was on for a slightly faster lap but got held up in traffic.

It just stopped raining apparently, so I hope the track dries quick as I want to see some quali sims =).
