Starting to look interesting, nice work Michael.

From the BBC live update...

"There are just a few minutes left before the second session gets going and Lewis Hamilton is out of the car and busy entertaining American singer-songwriter Lenny Kravitz who is wearing what looks like a tea cosy on his head. "

That's it Lulu keep focused on what's important, "ooh there's a celeb must go socialise" hahahaha!

Interesting to note the stints of RBR vs. Mc drivers. If all 4 cars were filled to the brim at the end, as I suspect they were by the times (as opposed to 1/2 for Schumi/Hulk co.), RBRs were constantly lapping .5-.8 faster as the final times indicate. Pretty much the only possible relevant thing I got from this practice.

Come on Rob where are you? I'd laugh so hard if Mclaren really do have the fastest car but yet Sham gets beaten by Jenson in the end.
Good to see Schumi and Merc looking strong, also if the Ferrari looks that much of a handful but yet still has some raw speed I think Nando will be a threat once the European season starts when Ferrari sort this car out, the raw speed is there.

FP3 Will be far more representative of the running order prior to qualifying. Somebody has to top the timesheets, but I would not be inclined to bet money on any of the top eight qualifying as high as they were in 2nd practice, most of them wont get in the top eight. I fancy the fastest are content to go about their business under the radar safe in the knowledge that come quali they will rise to the top and scoop all the spoils leaving todays showboaters to fill the cheap seats.

It is the flag at the finish line on race day that counts, but come Friday FP1 no matter what the top 6/8 drivers say none of them will be driving to finish second on the time sheet or behind/lower down then their team mates.
This first FP1 and FP2 wasn't a good start for Lulu when he just had told reporters before FPI started that “early races key to his future at mclaren” he said “the first four races of 2012 will be key, they will definitely play a role for my future”.

If he does real well Sunny maybe Ferrari will pick him up. And todays numbers mean little but last year Mr. Vettel took great pride in leading the time sheets after EVERY session.
