F1 » Alonso: Malaysia will be a 'trial by fire'

Fernando Alonso: Today the car was better than yesterday and we were closer to the leaders. However, we still have a lot of work to do to reach those who are ahead of us in terms of performance; not just McLaren and Red Bull, but also Mercedes and Lotus.

I boil hot and cold when it comes to Alonso. Sometimes I like him, sometimes not but there is no denying his talent and skill. Performances like today just made me sit back and think "wow" this guy is the complete article. I still question whether he is the best driver in f1. i think on talent Vettel and Raikkonen are close contenders and I have given me reasons before on here but after today's performance there is no question that this guy should have more than two championships.

The gulf separating Alonso and Massa was blinding today, Massa has been excellent when given an excellent car, Alonso though wrings the maximum out of 'any' car. Today he couldnt live with McLaren or Red Bull, but was more than a handfull for everyone else.

Alonso 'Next week in Malaysia will be a trial by fire' does that mean if the car is no better he's going to torch it.
Massa - 1 race 1 crunch, I'm just waiting to see how he pins this on Hamilton!

They should have sacked some key personel.
Hasn't been the same team since Jean Todt left.

If Alonso can't win in that car everyone knows nobody else could.

WOW!! after the race Pat Fry must be given a "Pat" on the back for designing the ugliest and worst performing Ferrari f1 car ever...if there was any thing good that was Alonso's driving..any other driver no ferrari car would be finishing the race sauber ferrari was better than ferrari....removing aldo costa for pat fry was a huge mistake...with limited testing i dont see ferrari winning championship this season again..well it will ferrari's motto for past few years again "we will be concentrating on the 2013 car"
