Yeah but Grosjean could have backed out a little having lost out on the corner. It was a harsh move for sure but not disgraceful. Not even worthy of the stewards to look at. If this happened with any of the top teams and their drivers the move would have been lauded as good hard racing.

"he drove a superb race, and was unlucky to get over exited and bin it. Seems whenever hes running 6th, he bins it in the dying stages."

That's not unlucky, its lack of concentration. Maybe Pastor needs to workout a little more, so he can maitain focus at the end of a race.

Rather have a racer push than ligering at the midfiled. He drove like a man possesed. By the way the incident with Growjohn was not his fault. Growjohn should have backed off. Yeah he lost it for what ever reason but so did many during the weekend including Alonso. Malaysia should be telling.

who ever decided to let Rubens go should get a big pat on the back. Probably would have finished in front of Ferrari if Rubens was racing. Senna is proving to be a petulant and rash driver, his last two races have been fairly poor. Maldanado needs to either be told to slow down or he needs to understand himself a little better.

Some funny comments on here...

His racing trying to get the best possible position for Williams and he gets slated on here... Would have been better to just to drive around nice and steady and finish 10th or worse.. I like racers, good on him for going for it...

He was not to blame for Roman, he had the inside line and was past at the corner, he does not need to back off Roman should have, front wheel to rear tells who was to blame.

I think that he managed to shed some of the pay-driver stigma with this performance. He looked good and very racy which is encouraging for Williams. The Grosjean thing was not his fault, and putting the wheel on the grass in the last lap can happen ... Well done Pastor.

pcx. "tell maldonado to slow down..."???????????

this is f1, for goodness sake. maldonado was doing a good solid job hounding alonso and had a chance to pass and gain vital points. he is not paying to play follow the leader. good on him for his performance. it was just a slight slip that prevented a good dose of points.

and i have been a maldonado critic for yonks!

No surprises there. Looks like he hit KERS in the hope of getting a run on Alonso into turn 9 and just went too early. Fair play to him for trying, but in hindsight he should have just accepted 6th place - Alonso was not going to give up that place easily anyway!
