F1 » Gearbox change means penalty for Raikkonen

The Lotus F1 team confirms that it's having to replace Kimi Raikkonen's gearbox overnight, which would mean a five-place grid penalty for Sunday's race.

Could have been worse, Perez had his gear box fail in quali at least he has a shot at getting into Q3 with the penalty being applied after.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but Kobayashi was lucky to have his gearbox fail during P2, at least he won't get the same penalty going into quali.
