Taipan, I've said to you in the past that Lewis is not as mentally strong as the other top drivers on the f1 grid, I've said he is not as smooth as JB on his tyres and in my last post i said that Lewis has to take a lot of the blame for last year. Now that is hardly me looking at things through lulu's tinted glasses no matter how cool they look?

And as for 2007 you keep missing the main issue, say that Ron was helping Lewis there is still noway a rookie should have been able to even test a double world champion who just ended the dictatorship of the most successful driver in f1 EVER. We will never see anything like that in our life time again.

Ron, and as I've said many times, Lulu in 2007 was very good but why has he become worse every year since? The only answer that I can come up with is that he can't handle the pressure and you alluded to that. The silly thing is though that it's him and his followers that create the over the top pressure. The fastest, the latest braker, the best overtaker he's claimed to be them all and many believe him even though there is very little proof of any of the above. Why can't he and the fanboys accept that he's one of the better F1 drivers of the moment but not the best, who knows maybe if everyone including him thought that the pressure would diminish and he would start performing

Ron D isn't too popular with the FiA after telling Max porky pies Pitstop, like him or loathe him Whitmarsh has made McLaren a far more palatable team, Ron stepped aside for that reason and I have no doubt that he'll stay in the background.
