F1 » Karthikeyan criticised by Vettel, penalised by officials

HRT driver Narain Karthikeyan has been compared to a "cucumber" by Sebastian Vettel, and given a post-race by the race stewards. But at least Jenson Button doesn't blame him.

@cknopp If they make it 103% in current state, the sport will be reduced to 5-6 teams. I trust me, that can not continue beyond one season before the sport has to wind up.
How much you hate the slower drivers/cars, they are indirectly keeping F1 going.

Total disrepect by the WDC, Narain did say whenever he is passed, drivers try to bully him by cutting back early.......i have noticed this in racing when the faster cars overtake they tend to bully the slower cars.......Vet got what he deserved i am afraid he also needs to show a bit more respect to his fellow drivers...

As much as I think that HRT have no place being on the grid in the first place, neither incident was NK's fault.
JB owned up already, but SV got impatient and cut across in front of the HRT too soon.
He caused his own problem.
SV seems to be reverting to some strange behavior last seen in 2010.

day. i dont need to answer to you, but i will! i mentioned lulus inability to catch mid fielder cars, as i was having a gentle dig at rob, his number 1 fan! now, are you happy?

droog. as said before, the STEWARDS have more info than we have. we only saw seb taking up his line after passing a recovering car. he was in full chase of lulu (sorry, day, i mentioned lulu again. ok?). the head on shot can give a false picture and did so in this case. and as you saw, nk has also admitted what happened and he made no reference to seb hitting him, but just that he entered the road and found seb there.

In my opinion when Jenson had a lil crash with Narain he was under pressure from Lewis, when Seb had his incident he wasn't too far behind Lewis. Obviously he seen Lewis do a SIMPLE fast clean pass on Narain and thought he could do the same and ... FAIL. Karthikeyan was minding his own race like Jenson and Seb should have been. I think they were focusing too much on someone elses race personally.

They'll never be on Hamiltons level.

As usual a set of circumstances made worse by both drivers not allowing sufficient space for each other. With the run off area running out K could not leave any more room, and SV should have seen the inevitable coming and given more space. The hand signal and later petulance are not what is expected of a double champion.
How lucky it was not LH doing what SV did.
JB took a more realistic look at events and rightly decided it was mainly his own fault, what a contrast !
