F1 » Massa's day made worse by threat of Perez

Felipa Massa had another poor day at the race track. What made his 15th position feel even worse was that his team mate won the race, and his mooted replacement Sergio Perez shone in second.

The results speak for themselves. As much as I hate to say it, it looks like the beginning of the end for Felipa. They (Ferrari) can only do so much...

Ferrari and Sauber in the same boat constuctors point = money in bank so FM not doing job and time must be close to up with Ferrari and why Perez told we need this position with these points in bank its the best position they been in for years . Wonder if Ferrari should just buy a couple of Saubers and paint them red then say this is new car we been working on lol

On the bright side, I don't think Felipe has to worry about Ferrari inviting Barrichello back. Finishing 17th of 18 left running at St.Petes won't turn many heads.

Massa was in a brand new chassis that he said felt better in qualifying. He is running out of excuses, especially when Alonso can wrestle it to a victory. The fact of the matter is, Massa just isn't anywhere close to the driver that Alonso is.

He had 2010, to recover, and at times was close to Alonso. But whatever opinions people have, Ferrari were right to back Alonso in Germany that year because he almost won the Championship.
Since then, the car has got harder to drive, and what we see, is genius becoming a factor, the harder the car, the bigger the gap between team-mates.
Massa shouldnt be part of Ferrari, he is a left over from the Todt era because of his son signing him into the contract, Alonso doesn't need Massa supporting him for the Drivers championship, Ferrari needs him to score some points for the constructors. If he can't do that, replace him. Should have been done last season already.
